In addition to your usual gorgeous painting style, this has great storytelling and expression. Truly dope.

This is great. At first I thought the light should show his whole right eye, but it keeps drawing MY eye there to try to see more. I always learn a little something when I look at your images.

Nice.

Even without seeing the woman's face, it's clear that she's not happy about what's written on the fan. Great job!

Reminds me of the secret "Order of the White Lotus" from Avatar - The last airbender ~ [link]

notes used to be written on fans. i thought it would be a great way to pass secret messages. as long as you don't get caught that is.

Ever heard of the 3 tea cups?

Martial artists could communicate, by placing 3 tea cups in a specific way.

My memory's a little fuzzy, but I think the teacups represented 1. School, 2. Person, 3. Location.

The person would arrange the 3 cups in a row, and then move them ahead of each other. All they needed to do then is sit down at the local tea shop and wait for someone to get the message.

i haven't but thanks for sharing it with me. very cool code. but wouldn't someone at some point realize the lone guy with 3 tea cups might be a secret messenger? i just don't know enough about tea drinking to not know if using more than one cup is or is not an odd thing to see.

I learned that from a game called "shenmue 2", on the original Xbox.
