Tue Apr 30, 2013, 8:53 AM

We're totally excited to get this project off the ground. We've got samurai, zombies and kick ass talent!

Shogun Rising is a near-future love story, set in a banished Samurai village that must fight to survive the zombie Apocalypse.

A collaboration between seasoned Writer/Producer Jonathan Mayor and Awesome Horse Studios being Marc Scheff, Noah Bradley, Aaron Miller, and Cynthia Sheppard. We also have seasoned comic layout artists and colorists including Tim Paul who has colored for Marvel, DC, and Disney.

Awesome Horse Studios

Check out what we're up to Awesome Horse Studios over at [link].

Awesome Horse Studios is our answer to the question “How do we give back?”

Noah, Marc, Cynthia, and Aaron are all successful freelance illustrators and wanted to find a way to work together and connect with the larger illustration community. There are already great forums and chat boards, and plenty of great individual and group sites.

So we thunk different.

What we do here is create live content where other artists can participate in real time. Live demos with live feedback, live critiques, with all four of us podcasting content over the video. Sure, you can always download it later off of our site, but you can jump in and participate and make sure your questions are answered every week.
We have more planned, and we think you’ll like it. So join us, tune in, and enjoy!

You have some amazing and variant work! Is the Tarzan poster traditional oils or digital? Is the architectural element in "Harem assassin" a Photograph? Great classical "Golden Age of Illustrators" feels and techniques. Your "Fires in the Desert" painting reminds me of Lord Leighton's "Flaming June" painting.
Feel free to offer serious crits on my work anytime!
